The start of a new year…

Happy new year! I know, I know, I’m seven days late saying that, but better late than never! lol It was a busy, but relaxing holiday break. It’s not easy doing nothing. hahaha And then I got sick. I’m still trying to recover from it. It really sucks getting sick when you really, really want to get things done. I have been itching to write, I can’t stand it. I am working on Fatal Consequences, book 3 in my Consequences Series. I have about 18,000 words written, so I’m really craving to keep going. Starting the book is sometimes the hardest, but the middle is always where I struggle, so I’d love to get over that hump.

Let’s see a quick recap of what I accomplished last year…

I published four books, though technically it was three I wrote. Dark Consequences had already been written and published before. I had taken it down to get it edited better. So I republished that book after having my wonderful editor look at it. I wrote Cruel Consequences, Thirteen Days Gone, and Here Comes Chaos. With all three books (with a few extra words from a short story and the start of Fatal Consequences) I had a word count total of 188,894! Which is amazing. I did start writing my daily word count down last year at the the start of the year, so it made it so easier to calculate. I’ll be doing that again this year!

My last book I published, Here Comes Chaos, marked it as my 40th book! I still can’t believe that number. I started writing in 2014 and published my first book in 2015, Protecting You. I’ve officially been doing this for 10 years. Mind blown! I’m pretty proud of what I’ve accomplished and can’t wait to keep sharing more stories. Because at the end of the day, that’s my favorite part. Writing a story and sharing it with you.

I will be trying to post more on my website more than social media this year. It’s hard to see the things I see lately, and I hate doom scrolling, which is so easy to do! If there are things you’d like to see me post or talk about, please let me know in the comments.

If you’re wondering what I plan to publish this year, well, of course, there’s Fatal Consequences. I’m aiming for spring of 2025. I plan to write book 3 in my Haunting Love Series. No title yet, but it will feature Donnie (sexy vampire) and unknown heroine. Still undecided on his story. That’ll release in October as I’ve done for the last two books. Of course, my Christmas book will release in December. Book 3 in my Sleighville Series. No title yet, but it will feature Duke and unknown heroine again. I’m not sure him and Juliet are destined to be together, so unless you truly think so, he’ll be moving on and falling in love with someone else. I don’t foresee any other books, but hey, you never know what will happen and what writing bug will hit me!
