Happy Thursday! I think it’s Thursday. lol The days have been kind of morphing into one another lately. I haven’t had the greatest start to the new year. Last Thursday I drove myself to the ER (after getting the kids to school because that was important too lol) with stomach and back pain. It was off and on pain (the stomach one) for about a week that I had before I told myself you need to go get this checked out. It was the back pain that put me over the edge. Turns out I had a gallbladder infection. Later that day (they were very busy!) they told me I needed surgery to have my gallbladder removed. I guess it’s a very common thing. I had no idea. I didn’t get my turn in the OR until Friday evening. The worst part was not being able to drink water,. I handled the not eating just fine because I wasn’t hungry anyway. Gallbladders issues! hahaha But not being able to drink is the worst feeling in the world! Just horrible. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
They let me go home on Saturday evening and it was nice to be back in my own bed AND be able to drink water! lol Thankfully my father-in-law was able to come out and help me around the house. The pain from surgery wasn’t kind to me. I haven’t been able to drive anywhere and the kids have lots of activities going on. Until I see the surgeon again at the end of the month I’m not supposed to bend, push, or do any strenuous activity. For someone for active (especially working out daily) it’s been so hard on me. But today, thankfully, is the first day the pain hasn’t been as bad and I’m moving around a teeny, tiny bit faster. I’m on the mend!
So that’s been the start of my new year. I sincerely hope yours has been so much better than mine!
Before I go, I have a sale to share. I actually put these two books on sale before I got sick, but I haven’t been able to share them yet. So here’s me sharing them! Happy reading!
