Happy New Year, lovelies! I hope you’re having a fabulous start to the new year. I know it’s feeling pretty chaotic in the world, stress like we’ve never felt before, so I really do hope that you are having a good start to the year. I’m sending hugs to everyone because we all need a hug every once in a while.
Life is back to normal here. My mom visited throughout the holidays and she’s home now. I plan to get back into writing and getting lots of words in. I have big plans for my Consequences Series this year. So let’s hope how I’m picturing it, it all works out. I’m not going to fully share what I’m doing yet, because I don’t want to jinx myself. It might not work out then! lol Wish me luck!
Let’s take a look back at 2025 for me.

To make my life easier (for this moment in time lol) I do jot down my daily word count, then mark the total for the week. When the month is over, I jot that total number down as well. So all I have to do is add all the months up. And I can’t believe my word count for last year. It felt like I didn’t write a whole lot. Included in that total is my flash fiction I write on Fridays and my short story series with Mona & Mason. My biggest month of writing was June with a total of 101,837! Insane! I do remember that time though. The Last Noel was basically written in June and it came so easily to me. I also wrote half of One Mistake Too Late then as well.
It’s fun to see what months were my best and what ones were not. December no words were written at all. And that was a-okay with me. Sometimes breaks are needed. Otherwise, my other lowest month with words written was November. A total of 2,612 and it was for my flash fiction. I mean, I know why those two months were low. My mom was visiting and the holidays were happening.
Maybe my goal for this year is to surpass the word count for last year for each particular month. So last January I wrote 6,526 words. Pretty easy goal to defeat! I can do this.
What can you expect from me this year?
Great question! I am working on book 4 in my Consequences Series, Vicious Consequences. I actually started that back in July and haven’t gotten too far on it. But I plan to pick that one back up this month. That will have a spring release…I hope. Or early summer. We’ll see how the words flow this winter. There are two more books after this one that I already have plans for. Potentially could see those as well this year!
You can also expect book 4 in my Sleighville Series as well. No title yet. I have to think of a Christmas song where I can change the words slightly into a title and make it fit the theme of the book. It will feature Juliet and Nick though! I, at least, know that much! Obviously that will be a Christmas release in December.
There will be a book 4 in my Haunting Love Series. No title yet either. I’m pretty sure that book will feature Jock and so far an unknown heroine. I have a few ideas for him, but nothing is set in stone. If you have any requests or ideas, please let me know. I’d love to hear them!
I am working on a short story with Mona & Mason. I want to finish that. And I want to release Volume 2 in The Paranormal Chronicles with them.
So I have some lofty goals this year. More so than I’ve had in the last few years.
That’s all I have for now. Have a wonderful week, and happy reading!
